MP Jorida Tabaku responded with a retort to her socialist colleague Toni Gogu, who accused the opposition of blackening and smearing Albania in Europe as a narco-regime country.
Tabaku said that Gogu and the SP should not worry about the opposition, but about corruption and the lack of standards and the farcical elections of May 11.
"Don't cry foul over the opposition, Mr. Gogu, don't worry about the opposition at all. You should worry about the mud thrown at Albania, about the rigged elections in the reports that are being read there in the European Parliament, worry about corruption and here I quote the report that will be read on July 9. Worry about the mud thrown by the majority and not the opposition.
The opposition has performed its duty perfectly. This process has never been blocked by us, but by you. From the lack of standards, just as you will block it for elections, not even by Balkan standards. You should be concerned about the lack of standards, because they have not been met, you should be concerned about these and not about the problems of the opposition. The opposition solves its own problems", said Tabaku.
