Opposition to the Zvërnec project is not limited to Tirana. In parallel with the protest in the capital, citizens have also gathered in Vlora and Durrës to express their dissatisfaction with the project and the policies that, according to them, favor strategic investors.
In Vlora, protesters gathered at Flag Square, where they held banners and issued calls against the government, demanding the protection of the territory and a halt to interventions in the Zvërnec area.
Meanwhile, the fourth protest organized by citizens against the project is taking place in Tirana. Participants are demanding a halt to construction in the protected area and more transparency regarding the procedures followed for the project's implementation.
In Durrës, dozens of citizens have gathered in “Liria” Square, where they are holding a silent, peaceful protest. With banners in their hands, they demand the protection of public land, the cancellation of projects that, according to them, favor strategic investors, and the resolution of problems affecting the community.
Protests are taking place simultaneously in several cities across the country, as citizens demand that their voices be heard on issues related to the environment, urban development, and public interest.
