The citizens' protest against the project in Zvërnec was accompanied by tensions today, after a group of protesters attempted to cross the metal fence placed in the Ura e Lana area.
The situation escalated when the protesters approached the fenced perimeter and some of them crossed the metal barrier. In response, the police forces intervened using water cannons in order to disperse the crowd and restore order. Citizens have called on the police to open the road, but the police have stood their ground, preventing the protesters from passing towards the Prime Minister's Office.
We remind you that the protest against the project in Zvërnec is taking place for the fourth day in a row. Citizens and activists are demanding a halt to the investment, while the government continues to defend it as a strategic project for the development of tourism and the country's economy. The situation remains dynamic, as protesters continue to gather in the area near the police cordon.
