News of the assassination attempt on Trump, Khamenei's message to America:
Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei and Trump

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, in a written message to the people, declared that revenge for the assassination of his predecessor and father, Ali Khamenei, is a demand of the Iranian nation and that it "must definitely be realized."

According to him, Ali Khamenei was killed in February during a joint attack by Israel and the United States.

In his message, Mojtaba Khamenei emphasized that he intends to avenge "the blood of the martyred leader and all other martyrs who fell in these wars waged by criminals."

Earlier, Iranian media reported that a message from the Supreme Leader was expected to be released, which would focus on the funeral ceremonies and burial of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. According to the Iranian Tasnim news agency, Ali Khamenei was killed at the beginning of the war launched by the US and Israel against Iran on February 28 and was buried on Thursday in Mashhad.

Meanwhile, an Iranian source told the Fars news agency that there will be no negotiations between Iran and the United States until Washington withdraws its positions.

"There will be no negotiations until America reconsiders its positions," the source stated.

Previously, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had stated that Tehran "has kept its word," while accusing President Donald Trump's administration, especially the US Treasury Department, of violating point 9 of the memorandum of understanding signed in Islamabad, which stipulated the US commitment not to impose new sanctions and not to deploy additional military forces in the region.

"This is just another case of violations and missteps by the US. The reality is that there can only be mutual fulfillment of commitments ," Araghchi wrote.

On the other hand, CBS News reported, citing official sources, that American and Iranian delegations have arrived in Oman to continue negotiations through mediators, despite the recent escalation of the conflict that led to the failure of the ceasefire.

According to CBS, the US delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, is expected to continue talks with Iranian representatives in Oman at the direction of President Donald Trump. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has also arrived in Oman.

Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal, citing senior US officials, reported that the Trump administration is increasingly pessimistic about the possibility of reaching an agreement on Iran's nuclear program.

According to the newspaper, one of the US officials said that Iran must commit to confirming within a day that the Strait of Hormuz will remain open to navigation and that it will stop attacking ships, otherwise it will face serious consequences. However, other officials quoted by the Wall Street Journal did not confirm a specific deadline for this demand.

The newspaper points out that the US administration's growing pessimism about a nuclear deal constitutes a rare admission that one of President Donald Trump's main foreign policy objectives, limiting Tehran's nuclear program, may not be achieved through negotiations.
