The 42nd protest has begun in Tirana, as citizens gathered in "Skënderbej" Square demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The protesters have announced that their demand remains non-negotiable, and after gathering in the center of the capital, a march is expected to take place towards the Prime Minister's Office building. There, they will give speeches, as they do every evening, and then the march will begin on the streets of Tirana.
Organizers have announced that today's rally will also be attended by Albanians from the diaspora, who have long supported this cause.
The day before, protesters held a march on some of Tirana's main streets, where they chanted slogans against the government. They chanted: "Government of crime," "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison," "Albania demands revolution," "Rama resigns," etc.
Today's rally is expected to be accompanied by increased security measures and partial traffic blockages in several areas of the capital.
