A citizen, during the 42nd protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, raised concerns about the expenses incurred for the Kanye West concert, comparing the situation to how a country with a larger economy manages such funds.
According to the protester, organizing large events should not be done at the expense of basic services for citizens. He brought up the case of Turkey as an example, which according to him had previously invited the American artist, but the payment was made from the state budget and not from emergency funds.
The citizen also criticized the state of several public services, citing the lack of generators and fuel at the pediatric hospital, while demanding more transparency in the use of public funds.
"There was no generator or fuel in the pediatrics. For the personal interests of someone whose name I do not want to mention, 4 million euros and some are paid to present Albania like this. One example is enough to refute this disgusting propaganda. Turkey invited this singer a few years ago, but paid 4 million euros not from emergencies, but from its own budget. Turkey's budget is 50 times larger than Albania's," he said.
