Journalist Osman Stafa took the floor at the 42nd protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office. He called on citizens not to back down from their demands and to continue their stance against the government.
During his speech, Stafa referred to Rama's statements, who labeled the protesters as "crows and ravens", objecting to this way of describing them and saying that there are citizens in the square who are seeking a better future for themselves and the country.
He listed some of the categories that are part of the protest: young people who want to build their lives in Albania, families who seek to live with dignity, pensioners facing economic difficulties, and patients who encounter problems in the healthcare system.
The staff stated that the citizens' concerns are related to corruption, lack of social support and problems in public services. According to the journalist, the protesters are not against the country, but are citizens who are seeking a different Albania.
Using the symbolism of the eagle, Osman Stafa called on the participants to stay united and not give up, describing them as people fighting for their future and that of their children.
"You have a prime minister who calls you crows and ravens. But who are they? Are they the youth who want to have a future in Albania? Are they the young people who want to create their families in Albania? Who are the crows and ravens? Are they those citizens who demand an end to corruption. Are they pensioners who demand their fundamental right, money to buy medicine. Are they mothers with orphaned children who cannot make ends meet? Are they patients who go to hospitals and cannot find medicine and equipment. No, no, here are the eagles who fight for the dignity of a different Albania. They are the eagles who demand dignity for the future. Have you seen what luxury expenses they have, what a life they live. Stand, resist, fight for your future. You are the most beautiful eagles of that flag that waves and demands that they have a future in Albania. They do not get tired of stealing, you, like an eagle, must also stay in the square until the end", said Stafa.
