A relative of Aleksandër Koçek, who was killed this Saturday in Shkodra, has spoken to the media regarding the serious incident, stating that the victim had a long-known conflict with the authorities and public opinion.
Mark Koceku said that there is no suspicion of any other conflict, while emphasizing that Aleksandër Koceku had been protected, but due to the need to work and make a living, he had to move.
" The state knows about the conflict, everyone knows about it. It has been preserved, but what can it do, it needs to be fed. We have a conflict that they know about. We have a person in prison who we had in our blood. Everyone knows the story. He worked at the house, he had a bakery ," he said.
This Saturday's incident is suspected to be related to revenge, while Aleksandër Koçek's name was previously in the file of another serious criminal incident in Shkodra.
Koçeku was among the people suspected of being involved in the murder of 20-year-old Pavlin Preka, who was executed in February 2025 in the village of Guci e Re, Shkodra.
Just a few hours before the murder of Aleksandër Koçek, the Shkodra Prosecution Office decided to extend the investigation period for this file by three months. Vasel Koçek and Klaudio Lisaj were arrested for the murder of Pavlin Preka, while Aleksandër Koçek was suspected of involvement in the incident.
