Two road accidents were recorded on Saturday evening on different road axes in the country, causing injuries and material damage.
The first accident occurred on the Elbasan-Librazhd road, near the village of Mirakë, where two vehicles collided with each other. The collision occurred in the lane of Corridor VIII, which has not yet been officially opened to traffic.
As a result of the collision, a woman was trapped inside one of the vehicles. The fire department had to intervene to free her. The injured woman was taken away by emergency teams, while the Police arrived at the scene and are investigating the causes of the accident.
Meanwhile, another accident was recorded on the Lushnje-Berat national highway, in the center of the Fier-Shegan village. Two vehicles collided, and as a result, an elderly woman was injured and urgently transported to the Lushnje hospital, where she is under the care of doctors.
According to preliminary data, the Benz vehicle hit a Volkswagen vehicle from behind. At the time of the collision, army forces were at the scene, helping to regulate traffic until the Traffic Police arrived.
The police continue to work to fully document both events and determine the causes that led to the accidents.
