The Shkodra Prosecution Office has decided to extend the investigation period for the murder of Pavlin Preka by three months , while the investigative group continues its work to fully uncover the incident and identify the responsible persons involved.
According to preliminary investigations, it is suspected that the execution was planned and carried out in collaboration by several people. Currently, the focus of the investigation is three people, whom the prosecution suspects had different roles in the organization and execution of the crime.
The main line of investigation is related to a personal conflict. According to the prosecution, the incident is suspected to have occurred after the family members objected to the relationship the victim had with the daughter of one of the suspects. However, investigators are also verifying other possible motives that may have contributed to the escalation of the conflict.
For this reason, the Prosecution has requested an extension of the investigation deadline, in order to complete the expert examinations, question witnesses, and analyze the evidence collected so far. After these actions are completed, criminal responsibilities and the full circumstances of the murder are expected to be determined.
How did the execution of 20-year-old Pavlin Preka happen?
Pavlin Preka was executed in an organized assassination in Shkodra, where the perpetrators allegedly used a firearm with a silencer to avoid the sound of the gunshots and not to raise suspicions among the residents of the area. According to the investigation, he was shot with 6 bullets near his apartment and died as a result of the wounds he received, which hit him in the chest, causing his death.
From the first hours after the crime, the investigative team raised suspicions that the assassination was carefully planned and not carried out by a single person. The prosecution suspects that several people with different roles participated in the organization and execution of the murder.
The main line of investigation is related to a personal conflict. According to the prosecution, it is suspected that the cause of the incident was the family's opposition to the romantic relationship that Pavlin Preka had with the daughter of one of the suspects. However, investigators are also verifying other lines to determine whether there were additional motives that led to the organization of the assassination.
Because some expert reports have not yet been completed and other evidence and evidence remains to be administered, the Shkodra Prosecution Office has decided to extend the investigation period by another three months. At the center of them are three suspects, whom the prosecution believes played roles in the planning and execution of Pavlin Preka's execution.
