The counting of preferential votes in the Tirana district for the May 11 elections continues at a rapid pace, bringing strong clashes within the open lists, both on the left and the right. The main candidates are in a close race, where every vote could be decisive for the fate of the mandate.
Within the ranks of the Socialist Party, the fiercest rivalry is between Blerina Gjylameti and Olta Xhaçka. Both aim to secure the mandate through preferential votes, and are currently very close to each other in terms of votes.
Another interesting duel is taking place between Xhemal Qefalia and Ornaldo Rakipi. The difference between them remains minimal, as both seek to secure a place on the SP winning list.
