Diaspora voted for SP/Socialists win big in Fier and Durrës, DP retains Kukës and Shkodra

The overwhelming majority of the diaspora vote went to the SP. From the envelopes counted so far, the Socialist Party has received massive support, securing nearly 60% of the votes, 105,955 votes out of a total of 181,992 opened envelopes. The DP-ASHM coalition, on the other hand, came in second with 45,006 votes, a result that reinforces the SP's dominance even beyond its borders.

The Fier and Durrës regions were the areas where the diaspora vote spoke unequivocally: in Fier, the SP secured 73.22% of the votes (19,733), leaving the DP with a minimum quota of 12.54% (3,379). In Durrës, the victory was also clear – 62.04% for the SP (12,718 votes) versus 25.68% for the DP (5,264 votes).

In Tirana, the result is more restrained, but still in favor of the SP, which receives 50.91% of the votes (22,043) against 30.39% for the PD-ASHM (13,159). In Lezha, the clash is closer, with the SP leading with 49.19% (5,967 votes) and the PD at 34.13% (4,140).

Meanwhile, Kukës remains one of the only bastions of the DP in the diaspora: 61.91% for the DP (1,835 votes) versus 26.99% for the SP (800 votes). Shkodra remains a gray area, where the DP takes a slight advantage with 42.27%, while the SP follows closely behind with 40.01%, a showdown that speaks of deep political divisions even abroad.

Diaspora votes confirm a clear trend towards the SP, especially in the larger regions. With the completion of the counting in Tirana, Fier, Durrës, Lezhë, Kukës and Shkodër, the Socialists not only maintain their lead, but also consolidate their positions before the full conclusion of the process.
