The Iranian newspaper Hamshahri has published a graphic created with artificial intelligence, where US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appear in prison uniforms, under the caption: "Revenge is certain."
The graphic shows a total of 13 political and military figures from the United States, Israel and Europe, whom the newspaper presents as responsible for the assassination of Iran's former supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during the joint American-Israeli attack that, according to the article, marked the start of the war on February 28.
Among the US officials included in the graphic are Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Commander of US Central Command Brad Cooper, and US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.
The involvement of four European leaders has also attracted attention: Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
The announcement came shortly after Iran's new supreme leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, made his first public statement since his father's funeral. In a statement broadcast on Iranian state television, he vowed revenge against those he considers responsible for Ali Khamenei's assassination, saying revenge "must definitely happen."
