The person in the photo is 50-year-old Edmond (Ali) Sula, the victim of the gunshot attack that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning in the village of Bërxullë e Vorës.
According to preliminary information, after parking his vehicle and heading towards his apartment, Sula was shot from a considerable distance. He was hit with a bullet in the back, losing his life at the scene.
Based on the information received so far, it is suspected that the perpetrator, who has not yet been identified, drove a vehicle and shot the victim from a distance of about 50 meters, from a field in front of his apartment. He then fled the scene.
Sources from the investigation team indicate that Edmond Sula was known as a person with conflicts in the area and was involved in property sales. For this reason, a possible conflict related to properties is among the main leads being investigated by the police. However, investigators do not rule out other leads related to the victim's possible conflicts.
The police have launched investigations to fully uncover the circumstances of the incident, identify and capture the perpetrator, while evidence has been seized at the scene that is expected to serve the investigation.
