Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has confirmed her resignation from the post of head of government after a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Svyrydenko announced that during the conversation with Zelensky, the challenges facing Ukraine, the changes necessary to strengthen governance, and the next steps in relations with international partners were discussed.
"I am grateful to the president for his trust and for his high assessment of the work of our team. I am proud to have had the honor of leading the government during one of the most difficult periods in the modern history of Ukraine," she declared.
She also thanked the government team for the work done during her term at the helm of the cabinet and stressed that she remains ready to continue serving the country, contributing to strengthening Ukraine's position and protecting national interests.
According to Ukrainian law, the resignation of the prime minister must be submitted to parliament and becomes official after the deputies approve the decision to remove him from office. With the resignation of the prime minister, the entire government cabinet is also considered to have resigned.
