The leader of "Albania Becomes", Adriatik Lapaj, has reacted after the completion of the vote counting and the allocation of mandates, accusing the electoral system as unfair and manipulated in favor of the ruling party. According to him, despite his coalition receiving nearly 63 thousand votes, it has managed to secure only one mandate, while the Socialist Party, with 10 thousand votes, has elected one full member of parliament.
"The Socialist Party received votes for 73 mandates, but the unfair electoral law gave it 83," Lapaj denounced, describing the system as designed to favor the two major parties and suppress new alternatives that challenge corruption and the political status quo.
At the end of his response, he calls for an immediate change in the electoral system, proposing the Kosovo model, national proportional with open lists, as a fairer and more transparent alternative. “There is no turning back! Albania is open to anyone who believes in values,” concluded Lapaj.

The electoral system proved to everyone to be unfair. The Socialist Party won 1 mandate with nearly 10,000 votes, while our coalition won with nearly 63,000 (so far).
The Socialist Party received votes for 73 mandates, but the unfair electoral law gave it 83.
Our coalition should have at least 6 mandates. The electoral law should be changed. Look at the Kosovo model, national proportional with open lists.
