More than 4 checkpoints have been set up in Korça, Pogradec and Devoll following the incident where businessman from Elbasan, Mondi Mëhalla, was killed.
The directive that the police officers have received is to check the black Audi vehicles, as it is suspected that after the incident the perpetrators of the murder moved towards Librazhd, so the southeast remains a main "door" in case they want to cross to Greece.
Police sources indicate that checks will also continue for persons in possession of unauthorized weapons or other prohibited means.
Businessman Mondi Mëhalla was found murdered on Sunday evening inside his car near his gas station in Elbasan.
It is learned that the 43-year-old had just left the gas station and got into the vehicle. The perpetrators shot him three times with a pistol, while two of the bullets hit him in the head.
