Protesters at the Parliament

Protesters return to Parliament, where they clashed with police in the morning and were accompanied by several citizens.

After more than two hours of speeches in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, protesters have begun their daily march on the streets of Tirana this evening, on the 31st day of the civic revolt.

With red and black flags in their hands and banners against the government, hundreds of citizens initially headed towards the Parliament building, precisely where incidents between protesters and police forces were recorded this morning, while some people were escorted to the police station.

As they passed in front of Parliament, the protesters erupted in chants of "Shame, shame!" and "Crime police!", accusing the blue uniforms of the violence during the morning protest. In chorus, citizens demanded that those responsible for the gatherings and clashes be held accountable.

The march was also accompanied by chants that have now become symbols of the protest, such as "Rama go!", "Rama resign!", "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison!", "New Albania!" and "The end has come!", while the protesters have reiterated that the movement will not stop until the government leaves and the old political class changes.

The stop in front of the Parliament had a special symbolic charge, as the morning incidents took place there, which were accompanied by physical clashes, tensions, and the escorting of some protesters by the police.

After standing for a few minutes in front of Parliament, the protest is expected to continue the march on the usual route through the streets of the capital, to return to the end in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, where the 31st day of the civic gathering will end.
