This is businessman Edmond Hyka alias Mondi Mëhalla, 43 years old, who was killed with 2 bullets to the head inside his "Range Rover" car, at the "Xhaxhi Oil" gas station owned by him, on the outskirts of Elbasan.
The executed businessman was also the owner of a taxi service in the city of Elbasan, called "El Taxi".
The 43-year-old lived in Tirana, in the Paris Municipality.
The incident occurred at around 8:35 p.m. yesterday evening and based on statements from the scene and security cameras, the businessman had just left the gas station and gotten into his vehicle when he was shot.
The perpetrators shot him several times with a pistol, while two of the bullets hit him in the head, causing his instant death.
He carried out his business activity in the city of Elbasan, but lived in Tirana in the area of the Paris Municipality.
How did the incident happen?
He had just left his office and got into his car when he was shot three times with a pistol.
The executioners' vehicle was a black Audi and is suspected of having left the scene on the Elbasan-Librazhd road.
The 43-year-old victim had a criminal record in the field of narcotics.
It is still unknown whether the person in question was the perpetrator or a suspect, but there is also footage of the victim's family members arriving at the scene.
After the incident, the police issued an official statement, still without any information about the perpetrators.
"Around 20:35, a report was received that in the "Emin Matraxhiu" neighborhood, inside a parked vehicle, citizen MM alias EH, 43 years old, was found shot to death.
Police services immediately went to the scene and checkpoints were set up at the exit of the city, and checks are continuing in the area and in various environments, to catch the perpetrator(s).
Meanwhile, a special investigative group has been established, which, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working intensively to clarify the circumstances, legal documentation, as well as to identify and capture the perpetrator(s), the police announced.
