The Elbasan Court has changed the sentence for Damiano Toshi, one of the well-known names in the black chronicle, sentencing him to 25 years in prison instead of life imprisonment.
The decision was made after a retrial of the case, ordered by the Supreme Court, which had previously overturned the life sentence and sent the case back for a fresh trial. During the new trial, the court accepted the request for a summary trial, which resulted in a reduction in the sentence.
Damiano Toshi was convicted of the murder of basketball players of the "Skënderbeu" team, Sokol Jahollari and Rafael Rizani, as well as the wounding of Julian Beckë.
