Enea Mitri, one of the call center bosses in Tirana, operates unscathed through companies with a medical facade, despite having been released from prison for cocaine trafficking and information from partner countries being on the table.
The last month has been a hot one for call centers in Albania. Successive operations, raids in Tirana and the surrounding areas, handcuffs, seizures, extraditions. Authorities have held press conferences and promised that no one will be left out of the network. But one group has not been affected at all. The network of Enea Mitri, one of the bosses of Tirana's call centers, continues unabated.
Enea Mitri is not an unknown name for the State Police. In July 2016, he and his father, Mikel Mitri, were arrested red-handed during Operation "Seven" . In that operation, 1 kilogram and 257.8 grams of cocaine, 41.4 grams of cannabis, 12,800 euros, 15 mobile phones, 3 vehicles and 2 electronic scales were seized. Mikel Mitri was the head of the cocaine distribution group in Tirana bars and the supplier of VIPs, while his 23-year-old son was part of the group.
But Mikel and Enea Mitri did not stay in prison long. Drug money bought the prosecutor and the judge. Both were released very quickly. Mikel Mitri also escaped the anti-mafia law for the seizure of assets derived from criminal activity and continued his activity in Rimini, Italy, an activity that we will discuss below.
Eight years later, Enea Mitri is no longer distributing cocaine. He has found something much more profitable and today he is one of the bosses of Tirana's call centers, the heir to Amant Josifi. While all the other call centers are being hit, his network remains intact.
The formula is simple and already well-known: a company with a medical facade, a loyal administrator, hidden partners and an army of operators who in Italian, German and Spanish sell European citizens fake investments.
The company E&E Holding has administrator ET and partners E. T with 50% of the quotas and Enea Mitrin with 50%. The company's object includes services, assistance and medical consultancy with video and audio for clients and patients, provision of professional medical training through online platforms and sale of health products. The object also includes the operation of call centers, both domestically and abroad.
The second company is DigiDoc Doctors . The administrator is M. S, a former doctor prosecuted by SPAK. The owner of 100% of the shares is S. T, alias J. Prifti from Berat. The company's address is Bajram Curri Street in Tirana. The object is about medical consultation via video and telephone, call center operation, medical training via the internet, sale of medical articles and conducting surveys and studies with a focus on telemedicine.
Both companies use the same facade. On the outside, an innovative healthcare start-up offering telemedicine services. The real activity is international outbound calling, exactly the type of operation described in OCCRP, BIRN files and LKA Baden-Württemberg reports on Milton Group. The sale of “online medical service packages” is vague enough to cover up any scheme, from investments in dubious stem cell treatments to healthcare packages that are actually outright scams.
Information about this network has come from partner countries. European citizens deceived, files open. But in Albania, Enea Mitri remains undisturbed and his network is not affected... /Pamphlet
