The civic protest for the resignation of Prime Minister Rama and the removal of the government has entered its 15th consecutive day, with thousands of citizens gathering again this Sunday in front of the Prime Minister's Office building in Tirana.
As in previous days, protesters demanded the government's departure and political change, as they marched through the capital's main streets.
The rally also attracted the attention of foreign tourists who were in Tirana. Some of them approached the protest to follow the developments closely, while others joined the citizens gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
The presence of tourists at the protest was interpreted by organizers as an indication that the daily rallies are not negatively affecting the flow of foreign visitors to the capital.
Protesters claim that tourists' participation in public activities and their interest in the protest contradict statements by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who has argued that continued demonstrations could affect reservations and tourist activity.
Meanwhile, the protest continues for the 15th consecutive day, with organizers warning that the rallies will continue until their demands are met.
