Vučić determined to resign: These are the last days as president
Aleksandar Vucic

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that he will resign from the post of head of state in a few weeks, emphasizing that the speech given at the "Serbia, One Family" rally was one of his last in his capacity as president.

"I have a few more weeks left to be president and then I will submit my resignation," Vučić told his supporters, thanking them for their support over the years.

He also announced that the list with which he will compete in the upcoming elections will bear the name "United Serbia", describing it as the "most beautiful motto" for the country.

Vučić promised to present a new economic plan on Monday, which will include pension increases this year, before January, as well as additional measures for pensioners and citizens with lower incomes.

The Serbian president said that the government's objective is for the average salary in Serbia to reach 1,400 euros within two years, while the average pension will reach 650 euros. He also promised reforms in the health and education systems, reductions in the price of medicines, and improvements in public services.

In his speech, Vučić praised Serbia's economic achievements in recent years, citing increased investment, the construction of highways and the reduction of unemployment. He stressed that Serbia will continue its path towards the European Union, but without giving up on relations with China and Russia.

He also reiterated that Serbia will maintain military neutrality and continue to strengthen its defense capabilities.
