A conflict at an electrical appliance store in the former Customs area ended with the arrest of two owners, who allegedly held a customer hostage and clashed with the police.
Two owners of a home appliance store in the former Customs area of Tirana have ended up in handcuffs after a conflict with a customer, who was allegedly held against her will and physically assaulted.
According to the Police, the arrested are Sefedin Ahmetaj, 63 years old, and Edjola Harunaj, 41 years old. It is reported that, after an argument for weak motives, they threatened the customer, deprived her of her freedom by keeping her in the store premises against her will and then exercised physical violence.
The situation escalated further when police officers intervened. According to authorities, the two arrested individuals violently resisted police officers, while the 41-year-old woman is suspected of striking an officer while on duty, causing minor injuries.
After the arrest in flagrante delicto, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further investigative actions.
"They threatened, deprived a customer of their freedom, and resisted and struck police officers while they were performing their duties. Two citizens, owners of a store, were arrested.
The services of the Police Commissariat No. 6 arrested citizens Sefedin Ahmetaj, 63 years old, and Edjola Harunaj, 41 years old, in flagrante delicto, after it is suspected that, during a conflict for weak motives with a customer in an electrical appliance store in the Ish-Dogana area, they threatened her, deprived her of her freedom by holding her against her will in the premises of the subject and exercised physical violence against her.
"During the intervention of the Police services, these citizens violently opposed the Police officers, while citizen EH is suspected of having struck a police officer in the line of duty, causing minor injuries. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
