The Ukrainian war is heating up. Last week, a Ukrainian attack on a student dormitory in Starobelsk, Donbas, which Kiev dismissed as fake news, left 21 students dead. The attack, according to the Russians, was carried out using a double-strike tactic, which involves first attacking rescue workers and then attacking them again, a tactic used several times in Gaza.
The attack infuriated Putin, who could not ignore the popular anger. He announced a tough response, warning foreigners to leave Kiev and residents of the capital to stay away from sensitive targets. However, this tough attack is coming slowly: either there has been a redefinition, which is unlikely to happen, or they are choosing targets and preparing attack plans.
A few days later, a drone crashed into a building in Galati, Romania, injuring two people. The attack was attributed to Russia, although the Romanian president explained that it was targeting Ukrainian targets in Odessa and, after being hit by anti-aircraft guns, diverted into Romanian territory.
Russia, through the Tsar, has demanded a full investigation and the right to examine the remains, a request that undoubtedly fell on deaf ears, because only in this way can the origin of the drone be traced. But beyond that, the Romanian military's explanation for the failure to capture the aircraft seems strange: there was no time and legal restrictions prevented it ...
It is not clear what legal restriction could have prevented the interception of a drone targeting a civilian building, and it is strange that there was no time to shoot it down, given that the skies over the Ukrainian border are clearly closely monitored and defensive batteries are on 24-hour alert. Moreover, the Romanian military is sophisticated, having long been the target of special attention from NATO due to its proximity to Russia.
Despite the doubts, what is certain is that the noise about the "Romanian drone" diverted media attention from the massacre of students, although it went unnoticed, the news could not be completely censored due to Russian warnings, which could not be silenced.
And this has once again allowed NATO to present itself as a victim of Russian threats, despite actively combating them by using Ukrainian cannon fodder without suffering any backlash.
