The first Group L match between England and Croatia is taking place in Texas, a match that has provided numerous emotions and chances in the first half, a match that ended in a 2-2 draw.
England, led by Thomas Tuchel, started the match at a high pace and quickly found the advantage. In the 9th minute, Luka Modric caused a penalty after a foul on Noni Madueke inside the area. French referee Clement Turpin immediately awarded the penalty from the penalty spot.
Harry Kane took the shot, but his first attempt was saved by goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic. However, the penalty was retaken after the Croatian goalkeeper had moved off the line too early. On his second attempt, the England striker made no mistake and gave his team the lead.
Croatia responded in the 36th minute. After a quick move, Petar Susic provided a brilliant assist for Martin Baturina, who scored with a powerful shot from outside the area, equalizing the score.
