Lawyer Kujtim Cakrani accused the Supreme Court of Kosovo of not being up to the standards required by the law and added that it does not recognize either the Constitution or the European Convention on Human Rights.
According to him, if the Supreme Court were at the right level, it would not keep Ilir Meta and several other officials in prison. He emphasized that the Supreme Court has a Bolshevik approach towards people who are investigated and tried.
"We have the Italian model. Testimonies in the trial of politicians have been filmed with cameras. Even Mr. Meta loves the sessions with cameras. Our Supreme Court, if it were up to the standards required by the law, would not keep them locked in a glass cage. Our Supreme Court is a group of idiots who do not know either the Constitution or the European Convention on Human Rights. If there is anyone who violates the law in this republic, it is the Supreme Court. Tell me a case in Europe where the President is locked in a trunk, locked in a glass room. You will not find such a case in the region either. Only our Supreme Court, with its ugly and vile law, which is a Bolshevik law. The Supreme Court has a Bolshevik approach towards people who are investigated and tried. We are a country in Europe that claims to join the EU and the European Convention prohibits keeping him in a glass cage. How can you lock the head of the Municipality, "The President in a cage? The Supreme Court is to blame. I have made a request and the head of the court has not responded to me. The Supreme Court has not responded to me either. Do you know why? Because it is a violation of the Constitution to keep another person locked in a cage and judge him. It is discrimination and humiliation ," Cakrani told "A2CNN".
