Tirana have appointed Croatian Dean Klafurić as their new coach, entrusting the team's management to a name with extensive experience in European football. The 53-year-old is expected to replace Orges Shehi, who recently took charge of Pristina.

Sources close to the club indicate that the agreement with the Croatian coach has been reached, while the white-and-blue leaders hope that his experience and results in the international arena will help return Tirana to the highest levels of Albanian football.

Klafurić has built a rich career in several European countries, managing teams in Croatia, Poland, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hungary, Serbia and Cyprus. One of the greatest successes of his career came in Poland, where with Legia Warsaw, Ernest Muç's former team, he managed to win the championship title and the Polish Cup, achieving an impressive season with the famous Polish club.

Born on July 26, 1972 in Zagreb, Klafurić holds a UEFA Pro license and is known as a coach with good organizational and management skills. During his career, he was also involved in talent development at the Dinamo Zagreb academy, while between 2009 and 2012 he managed the Croatian women's national team.

After his successful experience in Poland, he has managed several well-known teams in the region, including Velež Mostar, Budapest Honved, TSC Baçka Topola, Slaven Belupo and Ethnikos Aknas. His last engagement was at NK Široki Brijeg in the Bosnian Premier League, where he also held the position of sports director, gaining valuable experience in team building and management.

In terms of playing philosophy, Klafurić prefers the 4-2-3-1 formation, a system that aims for a balance between defense and attack. He is known as a coach who demands tactical discipline, high intensity and maximum commitment from his players.

His appointment as Tirana's manager is considered the beginning of a new project for the capital club. The blue-and-white leaders aim to build a competitive team, capable of fighting for the championship title and representing Albanian football in European competitions.
