Residents of the village of Kryezjarr in Elbasan have protested today due to the damage that, according to them, has been caused to the village road by the traffic of heavy vehicles engaged in the construction of the electrical substation.
Armed with banners, the protesters blocked the entrance to the substation, raising concerns that the dilapidated condition of the road is directly affecting the lives of about 200 residents of the area.
In support of the residents' requests, the Mayor of Elbasan, Gledian Llatja, also joined in, holding a meeting with community representatives and the managers of the company carrying out the works.
During the meeting, according to information made public, company representatives guaranteed that as soon as the works requiring the use of heavy machinery are completed, the rehabilitation of the damaged road segment will begin, with the aim of restoring it to its previous condition.
Residents have requested that the commitments made be implemented as soon as possible, while emphasizing that the damage to the road infrastructure has created difficulties in daily movement and access to the village.
