Recent developments in the international arena and statements by former US President Donald Trump are causing a political earthquake that is shaking his alliances all the way to Europe. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, one of Trump's strongest allies, has been forced to distance herself from him after the latter's unprecedented verbal attack on the Pope.
According to security and international affairs expert Ilir Kulla, the clash culminated when Trump directly attacked the head of the Catholic Church, claiming that without his help, he would never have been elected Pope. Invited to the show “Të Pashoj” on the YouTube channel of ‘Pamphlet’, Kulla added that in Italy, the consequences are immediate and severe for Meloni. For Kulla, attacking the Pope, who is also the Bishop of Rome and the central figure of Italian Catholicism, is tantamount to political suicide. The expert warned that Prime Minister Meloni, who has already lost a referendum due to inflation linked to international conflicts, now risks losing the next elections and even the collapse of her government.

-The war, every recent development in the Middle East seems to be costing Donald Trump. So much so that it sometimes even derails him. First of all, why did you clash with Giorgia Meloni? Not long ago, he said, I thought she was brave.
