A little over ten years have passed between the two "Persian peaces." A bit of time, almost nothing. And yet memory - this chaotic and delirious director - is showing us an absurd film, where the scenes are completely unrelated to each other.
The voices of Obama, Trump, and the Iranians come out of sync. Entire frames are in darkness. Every now and then the screen goes completely black. Most of the actors are no longer recognizable: some have fallen from power, others, like Supreme Leader Khamenei, are dead. Or rather, they have been “annihilated.”
And yet, this agreement (perhaps we have matured enough to no longer use the big word "peace") was reached between the same protagonists: the United States and Iran of the Ayatollahs and the Pasdaran.
But this duel between Washington and Tehran is a century compressed into just 11 years. It brings with it something much bigger than simply reopening the Strait of Hormuz or lowering the price of gasoline by a few pennies: it is a bitter disappointment, a savage reversal, a dangerous creature.
Above all, it is the immediate and searing exposure - with no possibility of hiding it any longer - of today's global reality, after it was covered up and alienated since the beginning of the century.
Let's stop at this digital signature between the "democracy of happiness" and the savagery with "divine right": Trump who dismissively signs among the plates of a banquet, in the salons of Versailles - a monument of pompous decadence - under the humiliating and humiliated smiles of European servants, who don't even have the courage to rebel...
What a dramatic turn! What was hidden behind the scenes came to light, roofs collapsed, and geopolitics was laid bare. This is a golden opportunity for anyone trying, even blindly, to decipher the new paths of this century.
Here, there is no mere light on a pile of lies. Rather, we are seeing the movement returning to a history that was supposed to have been eternally stuck on its hinges, the key to which had been lost.
Simply put: that painstaking deal that Obama reached with Iran in 2015 — which limited its military nuclear program under strict IAEA monitoring — is simply impossible this year. When they compare that to Trump’s surrender, Obama and the New York Times are mourning a corpse.

Ambiciet tona si evropianë janë bërë tejet të ndrydhura, ashtu si edhe frikërat tona. Dhe ja, me një firmë dixhitale çdo gjë mori fund. Kjo fantazi madhështore e pushtetit amerikan, që deri para pak ditësh na dukej e patundur si piramidat, u tkurr sërish, u zvogëlua dhe u zhduk. Obama mund të aktronte ende sikur asgjë s’kishte ndryshuar, sikur shekulli i XX po zgjatej artificialisht. E megjithatë, ai realitet - Amerika perandorake - fashitej me çdo fjalë që ai thoshte. Pas luftërave të paqarta ndaj terrorizmit, historia po ziente nga një lëngatë e re.
Një botë në shkrirje e sipër po shpërtente përmes tensioneve të dhunshme, me të cilat paralajmëronte epokën e re. Më pas, në vitin 2021, të shtangur e të habitur, pamë Amerikën të përjetonte ferrin në Kabul, duke paguar shtrenjtë çmimin e jetëgjatësisë së saj të rreme si e vetmja superfuqi në botë.
Trumpi nuk është shkaku i humbjes në Hormuz. Ai është thjesht pasoja e rënies amerikane. Ai vetëm sa po e menaxhon këtë rënie duke e mohuar. Rezultati? Një rrugë pa krye plot humbje orientimi, një lumë gabimesh dhe sjellje jashtë mode.
Trump përpiqet ta fshehë pafuqinë e tij - e cila shfaqet si një shfrim shkatërrues dhe i kotë – përmes gënjeshtrave dhe një arrogance boshe, duke u vetëshpallur si “zbutësi i humnerës”. Kapet pas momentit, zhytet te më e mundshmja.

But in the age of free drones and architects of chaos - who are always waiting to invade empty spaces, who do not flee from danger but provoke it, and who give themselves over without any scruple or remorse to the destruction of the era of rules and rights (which were often, alas, only ours) - these weapons are no longer enough.
Iran, which in its modern history has gone through long periods of limited sovereignty and protectorate, and which has been trained in the diplomacy of "the weak against the strong", showed how a superpower can be overshadowed, forcing it to surrender to its own limitations and weakening its zones of influence. / Pamphlet from "La Stampa"
