Just hours before the highly anticipated clash between England and Norway in the World Cup quarter-finals, both teams have been dealing with health issues that could affect their preparations for Saturday's challenge, which will take place in Miami.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, England midfielder Declan Rice has contracted a virus and has been isolated from the rest of the group to prevent the spread of the infection.

The Arsenal star has missed two consecutive training sessions, while the English Football Association has taken immediate measures to avoid a wider situation in the Three Lions camp. However, there is optimism within the England ranks that the situation is under control and that the rest of the squad has not been affected.

Rice's absence from the quarter-finals would be a huge blow for the England manager, as the midfielder is one of the team's most important players. Furthermore, he has previously had physical problems with his thigh and lower back.

Norway has not escaped health concerns either. Goalkeeper Orjan Nyland has confirmed that several players on the team have contracted the virus, while medical staff are working to manage the situation.

" It's true, we've had problems. We're doing everything we can and our doctor is very busy at the moment. We hope everything goes well and we face England with a fully fit team ," Nyland declared.

In the Norwegian camp, two players have already been absent due to illness. Forward Jorgen Strand Larsen was unavailable for the first match of the tournament, while Markus Holmgren Pedersen missed the match against Brazil. Concerns were further heightened when coach Stale Solbaken was seen coughing during a press conference.

Despite the problems off the field, both teams remain focused on what is expected to be one of the most exciting quarter-final matches of the tournament. Before battling for a place in the semi-finals, England and Norway must also overcome the invisible battle against the virus.
