An Albanian academic living in the US stated from the rally that the diaspora is working alongside the protest by filing complaints in the EU and the US against certain individuals.

He said that two revolutions are taking place, in Albania with "guns" and in the diaspora with pens.

"I came from Seattle, I followed you from day one and I became a part of it. As many groups as you are here in the diaspora are working alongside you with denunciations, petitions, letters to the EU and the American Bureau.

"In Albania there have always been two revolutions with guns and pens. You are with guns, the diaspora behind you with pens. I call on academics to unite," he said.
