Albania was defeated by Luxembourg in a friendly match held at the “Air Albania” stadium. The match ended with a minimal 0-1 victory for the hosts.
After the end of the match, striker Taulant Seferi commented on the loss, emphasizing that, despite the pleasure of returning to the national team, the result remains disappointing.
" From a personal perspective, I am obviously very happy to have received the invitation to the national team, but at the same time I am upset that we lost these matches ," Seferi declared.
Speaking about the changes between coaches and the way of playing, he emphasized that the team is trying to adapt to the new tactical demands.
" The difference is that the coach wants us to play more with the ball. This is something that takes time to practice and we have had shortcomings in this aspect. However, over time I believe I will improve ," said the striker.
Seferi also spoke about the possibility of being activated in the right-back position, showing his willingness to help the team where needed.
" It's true that during the week I also tried that role during training. If the coach sees me in that position, I'm ready to play there too ," he said.
Regarding the role where he feels most comfortable on the field, Seferi emphasized that he prefers to play deep, a position where he also plays with his club.
" I really want to play deep. I also play in that role at my club and I felt very good ," Seferi concluded.
