The Tirana court set security measures for 19 of the arrested. Two were placed under house arrest, 12 were required to appear, and five were released without security measures.

The release of protesters arrested following the tensions during the July 2 protest in Tirana has begun. The arrested are leaving the security block on "Mine Peza" street, where they are being welcomed with hugs, applause and emotions from family, friends and citizens gathered outside the premises.

A little earlier, the Tirana Court issued a ruling on the 19 protesters arrested after clashes with police forces. Everest Bardhi and Ervin Gega were placed under "house arrest", although the Prosecution had requested prison arrest, claiming that they had used violence and damaged a police vehicle.

Meanwhile, Altin Hila, who became one of the most talked-about figures of the protest after appearing with his sick child, was released. Initially, the Prosecution requested a prison sentence for him, but later changed the request to propose house arrest.

For 12 other protesters, the court imposed the measure of "compulsion to appear", while five people were released without any security measures.

The court hearing lasted over five hours and was temporarily interrupted after one of the protesters, Niko Carklaj, developed health problems. According to the information made public, he suffers from epilepsy and needed assistance during the hearing.
