Rolando Maran starts a drama with the Albanian national team. The Red and Blacks were defeated with a minimum score of 0-1 by Luxembourg in the second friendly match held at the "Air Albania" stadium, recording the second consecutive defeat after the defeat with the same result against Israel played a few days ago in the capital.
The Reds started the match well and created the first dangerous chance in the fourth minute, when Qazim Laçi tried a shot from the edge of the area, but the ball ended up outside, very close to the post. Three minutes later, Nedim Bajrami penetrated from the right wing and passed into the area for Laçi, who failed to deflect the ball towards the net.
However, in the eighth minute, Albania's breakthrough came. Dardari passed the Albanian defense on the wing and served in the center for Sinan, who took advantage and sent the ball into the net, giving Luxembourg the advantage.
After the goal conceded, the Rossoneri tried to react. In the 19th minute, Kristjan Asllani tried a strong shot from distance, but the home goalkeeper saved without any problems. The first half ended with Luxembourg's minimal lead, while Albania failed to convert the created chances.
Even in the second half, the Albanian team sought the equalizer. In the 51st minute, Arlind Ajeti sent an interesting pass to Myrto Uzun, who attempted to score, but the action was canceled for offside. A minute later, Luxembourg risked a penalty kick with Karlsson, but without finding the box.
Asllani tried again in the 57th minute with an ambitious attempt from half-time, seeing the opposing goalkeeper advance, but the ball did not find the goal. On the other hand, Sinani was close to the second goal in the 62nd minute, but Thomas Strakosha Sherri reacted correctly to keep Albania in the game.
In the last minutes, the Rossoneri exerted more pressure. Taulant Seferi had two headers after arcs in the area, but initially found the goalkeeper and then failed to direct the ball into the box. Meanwhile, in the 73rd minute, V. Til tried a dangerous shot from the right wing, but Sherri intervened correctly by deflecting the corner kick.
Despite efforts until the end, Albania failed to change the result and left the field with another minimal 0-1 loss, still leaving many question marks ahead of future commitments.
