The Iranian national team has traveled to Mexico after completing a 15-day training camp in Antalya, Turkey, as part of preparations for the World Cup.
The news was confirmed by Iranian state television, just days before the start of the tournament that will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
According to reports, the Iranian footballers have been provided with the necessary visas to enter the US and will be accommodated in the city of Tijuana, Mexico, which will serve as the team's base during the tournament.
Iran will play their first match at the World Cup on June 15, when they face New Zealand at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Iranian media reports that some members of the national team's staff have not yet received visas to enter the United States. American authorities, according to these sources, have not approved their requests to enter the country, creating uncertainty about their presence during the tournament.
