The plenary session was accompanied by tensions and strong retorts among MPs, while the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Klodiana Spahiu, drew the attention of the leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, to the vocabulary used during the discussions.
While speaking from the Parliament podium, Shehaj addressed the Socialist MPs in harsh tones, also mentioning Ardit Bido and Taulant Balla.
"What are you doing like this, Bido, how can you humiliate yourself like this? Taulant has been in politics for 30 years, before he lost his honor, his morals, it took him time. It's not that simple, you are a small director Bido, what has Balla done to get where he is. It's not enough to come out against the protesters... your impudence has no limit, every day you come out and attack us. So that you know, you should learn a little from Taulant that they lie better than you...", said Shehaj.
After these statements, Spahiu intervened, asking the MP to moderate his language and apologize.
Klodiana Spahiu: "Apologize for the vocabulary used towards colleagues, we don't have palacho here, if you know someone who is palacho, look for them somewhere else. You have 10 minutes to not say a word about the interpellation, but to deal with your colleagues."
The debate continued even further, after Shehaj reacted from his seat.
Agron Shehaj: "Aren't you ashamed?!"
While Spahiu replied:
"Klodiana Spahiu: What did you say? I drew your attention to the vocabulary used. Give me the floor to continue apologizing to my colleague Bido... There is neither a palaço nor a legenë here, apologize and then continue the speech where you left off."
The clash was another episode of tensions that accompanied the plenary session, dominated by debates about the protests and the political situation in the country.
