A special moment has attracted attention during the 20th anti-government protest, which is taking place in front of the Prime Minister's Office in Tirana.
As the lights on the boulevard briefly went out, some young people lifted a giant balloon emblazoned with the red and black national flag into the sky. The sight was met with applause and cheers from protesters, who interpreted it as a symbol of hope and unity.
The balloon rose above the crowd of citizens amidst chants of "Rama out", creating one of the most special visual moments of the evening.
Participants described this action as a message for the future and for what they call the "new Albania," while the national flag remained at the center of the protest's symbolism.
For 20 days, citizens from different areas of the country have gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, while organizers have warned that the protest action will continue in the coming days.
