Banners in protest

From calls for Edi Rama's resignation to messages for "New Albania," protesters chose banners as the most direct form of expressing their dissatisfaction.

In addition to speeches and the march to the Prime Minister's Office, the 20th protest against the government was also characterized by a large number of banners, which conveyed political, social, and ironic messages.

Among the banners that attracted attention were: "Sell Zeqinë if you want, not Zvërnec", "When you hide thefts, our mothers wipe their tears on the doorstep, Rama!!!", "Rama go away", "Next to each other we are stronger than a Benz 240", "Sell Opel Corsa, I'm about to throw out the government...",

"Edi Rama, apologize. The sovereign does not accept ridicule", "Life is too short to spend it with the same politicians", "Stand until you fall! While Rama is struggling... Shall we discuss another idea for the New Albania?", "The crow and the raven call us, we are the people", etc.

The banners reflected a wide range of concerns and positions, ranging from opposition to certain projects in coastal areas, criticism of the government, to demands for political change and greater civic involvement.

Some of them used humor and irony to convey the message, such as the banner "Selling Opel Corsa, I'm throwing the government away," which was photographed and widely distributed among the protesters. Meanwhile, the message "Together we are stronger than a Benz 240" became a symbol of solidarity and unity among the participants.

Other banners were dominated by political slogans, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. Among them, the slogan stood out: "Edi Rama, apologize. The sovereign does not accept mockery," accompanied by the symbol of a raised fist.

There was also no shortage of messages against the political class as a whole. A banner in English read: "Life is too short to spend it with the same politicians," accompanied by photos of well-known political figures crossed out with an "X."

Another banner that aroused interest was the one with a QR code and a call for self-organization, where protesters invited citizens to discuss alternatives for what they called "New Albania".

The 20th protest was held under the motto "Unconditional resignation", while the organizers announced the continuation of the civic action in the coming days. According to activist Arben Kola, the protest is expected to be joined by Albanians from the diaspora, while a national protest has been announced for tomorrow.
