The protests in front of the Prime Minister's Office have entered their third week, as participants continue to express dissatisfaction over a number of issues related to social and economic life in the country.
During the next rally, journalist Osman Stafa said that citizens are reacting to problems in the healthcare system, public education, pension levels and low wages. According to him, participation in the protest remains high even after 20 days of continuous mobilization.
He stated that the protests are taking place as a civic initiative and not as an activity organized by a political force, linking the participation of young people to the demand for change and to opposing the climate of fear.
The staff also raised concerns about the situation in health services, citing the lack of medicines in the Oncology ward. He also touched on immigration, the lack of jobs and the difficulties that, according to him, citizens are facing in the labor market.
"Those sellouts say the protests are over, but look at today. It's a youth protest against fear. This generation has killed fear, it won't leave Albania."
As of today, there are no medications in Oncology.
"Don't come to this square for anyone but yourself, this is our last chance to live in Albania and not leave because there are no jobs and they give us the opportunity to be unemployed or to be patronized," he said.
Protesters have announced the continuation of rallies in the coming days, focusing on demands related to improving living conditions and the functioning of public services.
