Unlike the usual protests that disperse after speeches, thousands of citizens continue to march around the Prime Minister's Office even after five hours of rallying. Chants of "Rama in prison," "Berisha in prison," and "Rama resign" still echo throughout the boulevard.
Five hours after the protest began, the civic resistance is not fading. On the contrary, it is getting stronger.
As darkness has covered Tirana, thousands of protesters continue to symbolically surround the Prime Minister's Office building, in what is being considered Edi Rama's most difficult political day since coming to power.
After the speeches ended, the crowd did not disperse. Citizens began a continuous march around the Prime Minister's Office, creating a continuous circle of protesters that continues to move around the government building.
Footage shows that participation remains massive even after hours of protests, while the boulevard continues to be filled with citizens from all over Albania and the diaspora.
The chants that have accompanied the protest throughout the day echo in the air.
" Rama in prison, Berisha in prison ", " Rama resigns ", is heard from the crowd that continues the march.
One of the strongest calls of the evening is also the one addressed directly to the prime minister: " You are surrounded, there is no escape ."
For the first time since the protests began 21 days ago, the mobilization has taken on dimensions that go beyond a regular rally. The boulevard was not only filled during the speeches, but remained packed for hours afterward, as citizens refused to leave.
The massive participation of the diaspora, coming from Britain, Germany, Italy, Greece and other countries, has given the protest a new dimension. Albanians who traveled dozens of hours to arrive in Tirana are marching side by side with citizens who have been keeping the protest alive for three weeks.
What is happening tonight on the boulevard is more than a protest. It is the biggest demonstration of the strength of this movement since day one and a direct message to the government that civic anger has not only not subsided, but is growing.
As the hour ticks by and the march continues, one thing seems clear: the protest is not over with the speeches. Tonight, thousands of citizens have chosen to remain in the streets and symbolically surround the Prime Minister's Office.

Kete gje e beri Berisha ne 97. U terhoq zvarre ne kokefortesine e tij, dhe Shqiperia u be toke e djegur dhe Salen e flaken. Por ishte 97. Eshte e paimagjinueshme qe e njejta gje ndodh pas 30 vjeteve me kete palaco te korruptuar kryeminister. Ironia me protestuesit karshilleku po behen vertet shqetesuese. Provokimi po arrin aty nuk mban me. Nese do kete perplasje qe me sa duket po e cojne te precipitoj situaten aty, do jete vertet e tmerrshme. Me turmen nuk mund te tallesh. Te kam menduar me te zgjuar, po qenke IDIOT komplet. Pse kryeminister ke lindur ti?! Te perpiu ai popull qe e talle e vodhe e dhunove e varferove , e largove. Kurre nuk ke qeverisur. Ishe dhe mbete nje kryeminister ne mergim. Mbete peng i interesave me te pista te krimit te organizuar. Te rrofshi pasurite si banka aeroporti resorte hotele, piju lengun tani. Nuk duhet te perfundoje keshtu kaq i urryer dhe diskredituar. Rrugeve te europes e botes me carter, me arrogance si nje mbret me 2 mln skllever. Kaq ishte. Duhet ta parashikoje e menaxhoje, po ishe ne ajer. Humbe cdo kontakt me realitetin. Shpeto koken dhe familjen. Nuk ke kellqe ti te mbash gjithe kete barre. Kush te ka dhene fjalen per suport te ka genjyer te ka futur ne nje rruge pa krye. Ikkkkkkkk, beje sa me shpejt beje tani.
