The speeches and rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office building have ended on this 22nd day of the massive civic protest. But the movement does not end there. Immediately after the closing of the messages from the podium, thousands of protesters gathered lined up to start a march along the main streets of Tirana.
The crowd, which has already stretched for a kilometer, is moving under the monitoring of the security forces, filling the boulevards and echoing throughout the capital. Their calls are clear and incessant: the immediate removal of Edi Rama from power, but not only that. The protesters are also demanding the permanent removal of Sali Berisha from politics, making it clear that this movement does not only aim at a new government, but a complete cleansing of the Albanian political scene.
"Rama in prison! Berisha in prison! Youth in power!" - hundreds of voices shout in unison, crossing the main streets of the capital.
The march, which has taken up the entire width of the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard, is being accompanied by citizens who come out of their homes and businesses to join the crowd. Windows and balconies are filled with supporters of the movement, while calls for justice and change continue to be unceasing.
The clock is ticking and night is falling, but the protesters show no signs of tiring. They have moved from rally to march, showing that their determination to demand radical change in the country remains unwavering.
