Thousands of Albanians from the diaspora joined the evening protest in the capital, turning the gathering into one of the largest demonstrations since the movement began after the events in Zvërnec. Amidst red and black flags and chants against the government, the protesters did not spare the political class either.
A sea of people has invaded Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, where the 21st anti-government protest is taking place. Thousands of citizens, including hundreds of Albanians from the diaspora, have filled the boulevard and the square in front of the Prime Minister's Office, creating one of the largest scenes of civic mobilization in recent weeks.
Red and black flags, banners, national symbols and chants chanted along the boulevard dominated the atmosphere of the protest. For the first time since the protests began, the participation of the diaspora was massive, with Albanians coming from Great Britain, Germany, Italy and other European countries.
Footage from the ground shows a boulevard filled with protesters, as the crowd marched towards the Prime Minister's Office amid chants of "Rama go away", "Rama resign", "Rama in prison", but also "Berisha in prison", showing that the anger is not directed only at the government, but at the entire political class.

The protest, which began three weeks ago following the developments in Zvërnec, seems to have now entered another phase. From a reaction against a specific project, it has transformed into a broader movement against the government and the political caste that has dominated Albanian public life for decades.
" We have come to show Albanians that they are not alone. We have fled, but we have not lost ," said an immigrant from London.
While another protester from the diaspora said that coming to Tirana was an obligation to the country.
" We don't want Albanians to end up as immigrants like us. Our time has come ," he said.

The massive turnout this evening is undoubtedly an important political development and a strong signal for the government. After 21 days of non-stop protests, the mobilization of the diaspora and the filling of the boulevard with thousands of protesters turn today's rally into one of the most serious challenges the majority has faced so far.
Amid the red and black flags and chants echoing throughout downtown Tirana, the protesters' message was clear: dissatisfaction is no longer limited to one issue or one project, but has extended to the entire way the country has been governed.
