Diaspora lands in Tirana: We came from all over Europe to tell Rama to leave
The diaspora fills the streets

Motorcades with red and black flags, honking car horns and anti-government slogans filled the streets of Tirana this Saturday, while hundreds of Albanians from the diaspora arrived in the capital to join the 21st anti-government protest.

From London, Frankfurt, Italy and other European countries, Albanian immigrants said they had traveled for hours to be part of the protest, which they consider an important moment to express their dissatisfaction with the government.

" We came from London, we left the day before yesterday. The Prime Minister pushed us, who had no reaction. We hope that today will be the last day for him. We are over 1,000 cars from all over Europe ," said one of the participants.

Others describe their presence as an obligation to the country.

" We are here because we have Albanian blood. We have come to give strength and morale to Albanians to tell them that they are not alone. We have fled, but we have not lost ," said an immigrant who came for the protest.

Among the participants was an Albanian from Frankfurt, who said he had traveled more than 30 hours to arrive in Tirana.

" We have been traveling for over 30 hours. It seemed like an obligation to us. We want to be close to the people who are here. We don't want them to end up as immigrants like us and we want to be able to return ," he said.

This is closer to a news story with atmosphere and emotion, because the focus is on the diaspora returning for protest, not on the rally schedule.
