The CEC is facing requests from candidates and entities for video footage of the vote counting process. Who are the open list contestants suspected of vote-rigging within the category?

With the completion of the vote counting process, the composition of the new Parliament resulting from the May 11 elections has now been configured, with Edi Rama's socialists counting 83 seats, PD-ASHM 50 seats, PSD 3 seats, Mundësia 2 seats, while 'Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet' and 'Lëvizja Bashkë' each having 1 seat.

The candidates who will receive a mandate as MPs have also been shaped in the same way, with the strongest clash being on the open lists, especially in the districts of Tirana, Durrës and Shkodra.

It seems that the greatest suspicions about the distortion of the preferential vote are in these circles, while the candidates have wasted no time in requesting the CEC for video footage of the preferential vote counting process.

The first to announce that he would request the footage was the 'PD-ASHM' candidate in Durrës District, Aulon Kalaja. He received around 8,000 preferential votes, but was unable to take the mandate, as Arjan Ndoj, a former prosecutor who ran for the opposition, received more votes than him on the open list for Durrës District.

Meanwhile, doubts have also been raised by Shkelqim Shehu, who with domestic votes received the mandate in Kukës, but after counting the Diaspora votes, the ranking changed and Isuf Çela received the mandate.

Also, Ilir Alimenhmeti, the DP-ASHM candidate in the Tirana district, has requested video footage of the counting of preferential votes, raising doubts about the tellers, whether they are representatives of the DP or the other party, the Socialists.

Altin Goxhaj, another candidate on the open list of the Democratic Party of Albania (DP) in Tirana County, is also demanding the video footage, raising allegations that his votes have evaporated. It seems that Goxhaj's suspicions arose after the results were announced in Administrative Unit 9, which coincides with the CEAZ located at the Sami Frashëri school.

Ilirjana Kuçana from Durrës District, where she was running on the open list of the PD-ASHM coalition, is also requesting video footage of preferential votes.

On the other hand, the SP candidates in the Tirana District, Blerina Gjylameti and Xhemal Qefalia, are requesting the video footage of their preferential votes as they see themselves outside the next Parliament, having lost their face-offs with Olta Xhaçka and Ornaldo Rakipi. Etilda Gjonaj, another name among the socialists who is losing her mandate as an MP in the new Parliament, has also requested the video footage.

Adnan Shullani and Frrok Gjini, the candidates on the SP open list in Shkodra, have also requested the video footage, raising suspicions of vote manipulation, while the Socialists in this district have received 4 mandates.

Of the candidates from small parties, the only one who has filed claims is Rajmond Dervishi from the 'Euroatlantic' coalition with political leader Lulzim Basha. This coalition has not been able to obtain any mandates, but the request has been submitted for both the subject votes and the preferential votes.

Also, Enkelejd Alibeaj's Right 1912, which was in coalition with Dashamir Shehi's LZHK, has requested video footage from the CEC for the votes in the Tirana District.

Likewise, Sali Berisha's Democrats are expected to submit a series of official requests regarding the vote counting process, as is the PL, one of the parties in the 'PD-ASHM' coalition led by Sali Berisha. /Pamphlet/
