The process of counting preferential votes in the Fier District is closed. In this district, the Socialists received 12 mandates, a record figure since May 11, while the opposition is limited to only 4 deputies in the second largest district in the country, recording the weakest electoral result in two decades.
At the end of the preferential vote counting process, the final list of candidates who will receive the mandate of the deputy has been formed. The entire race for the preferential votes was among the socialists, as the democrats did not even manage to complete the safe list, which consisted of 5 names, while the 'PD-ASHM' coalition received only 4 mandates.
The most voted candidate in the Fier District was Ceno Klosi with over 16 thousand votes, followed by Klevis Jahaj with over 12 thousand votes.
Meanwhile, the SP candidate Zegjine Çaushi, who became known for her videos on social media, where she occasionally made jokes about Gazment Bardhi, the political leader of the DP in this region, has also received a mandate as an MP. And it seems that the humorous videos about Bardhi were enough for the Roskovec candidate to receive enough votes to enter the Assembly.
SP candidates from the open list who won a mandate:
Ceno Klosi – 16638
Klevis Jahaj – 12696
Asfloral Haxhiu – 11622
Antoneta Dhima – 6860
Elton Korreshi – 5966
Zegjine Çaushi – 4074
Ramion Kurti – 3622
Meanwhile, from the DP-ASHM coalition, the following candidates will receive the mandate of deputy in the Fier district: Gazment Bardhi, Luan Baçi, Brunilda Haxhiu and Saimir Korreshi, all part of the closed list.
On the other hand, the names that were on the closed list of the SP are: Belinda Balluku, Petrit Malaj, Kiduina Zaka, Erjo Mile and Ana Nako.
