The Secretary for Legal and Electoral Affairs in the Democratic Party, Ivi Kaso, has requested from the Central Election Commission that the Democratic Party conduct an independent audit of the May 11 electoral process, taking into account the Diaspora vote, which for the Democrats is a catastrophic failure.
According to Kaso, the diaspora voting process has become ridiculous and there are countless cases where the envelopes have arrived empty.
Further, on behalf of the DP, Ivi Kaso requests that the CEC not announce any results until the audit of the process is completed.
"As the final diaspora votes are counted, the process is not only becoming increasingly ridiculous, but has clearly gotten out of hand for those who engineered this electoral massacre."
The catastrophic failure of this process everywhere, but especially in Greece, is revealed daily, with evidence, before the eyes of citizens.
– After countless cases reported by our compatriots, of envelopes arriving empty without ballots, of envelopes distributed by patronage agents, paradoxically, here many more ballots are counted than envelopes received;
– After the envelopes arrived in the Durrës region containing votes for Gjirokastra,
– Because the CEC still can't tell us how many ballots it has stamped for the diaspora, ... and how many cases of such strangeness.
This process is already severely compromised and illegitimate.
Moreover, it also reflects what has happened within the country, through the same mechanism!
Today, we officially request the Central Election Commission to conduct a full audit, with independent experts, of all steps of this fundamentally corrupt process, starting from voter registration, from the production of the ballot from abroad and every other step, to the administration of the ballot that has arrived and the release of the results for each district.
We also ask the CEC not to release any results and not to finalize any table for the diaspora until the independent audit submits its conclusions on the process and provides full transparency on the Albanian vote.
This process has already completely collapsed.
"We cannot, unfortunately, save the face of this process which, with the insistence of the Democratic Party, aimed to grant the missing right to Albanians outside Albania, but which was corrupted to the core and disintegrated before the eyes of all Albanians, due to the evil will of this majority!" , Kaso says.
