Democratic MP Dhurata Çupi has reacted after the conclusion of the May 11 elections, where she failed to secure a mandate in parliament from the open list in the Tirana District.
In a public message on social media, she expressed gratitude to the citizens and all the Democrats who contributed to the campaign.
"Thank you and gratitude for every vote! Thank you to every democrat who worked with heart and dedication in the campaign! Nothing should stop us from making the Democratic Party the winner ," Çupi writes.
Dhurata Çupi, currently a member of the Albanian Parliament, was listed on the open list of the Democratic Party in the Tirana District and secured around 3 thousand nominal votes. The Democratic Party managed to get 12 deputies from the safe list in this district and only one from the open list. In the race between Jorida Tabaku and Ilir Alimehmet, the former was declared the winner with around 20 thousand votes, compared to 18 thousand for the latter.
