Minister Blendi Gonxhja, the most voted candidate on the open list of the Socialist Party of Tirana, has also revealed the key to his success in the campaign.
In an interview with Euronews Albania, Gonxhja said that his victory was not favored by the fact that he campaigned as a minister.
This, according to Goxha, can at certain moments be seen as disadvantageous as the responsibility and accountability demands placed on him have been greater.
He indicated that the type of campaign he conducted in the area where he was running had a certain tact, refusing to enter the privacy of their homes or businesses.
"I don't believe that a person will come forward to say that they were forced in my area to vote for Minister Gonxha. I have not gone out on the sidewalks or in stores invading people's privacy. I have tried to have an educated tact to make it clear that the approach is serious.
I have met with many people to listen to their problems. When you go as a minister, the responsibility is even greater.
"Going as a minister is not a favor, because he is supposed to solve numerous issues while also being part of the cabinet. This is greater pressure than that on a candidate who has no responsibility," Gonxha said.
